Your Organization Can Use Beltway Plaza’s Community Booth! It’s our goal to provide not only quality shopping to our community, but also to be a resource for information. If you are a non-profit or not-for-profit organization that has worthwhile information or services to provide or you are in need of space for fundraising opportunities don’t hesitate to contact us. Our Community Booth is just for you. To apply for use of the BPM Community Booth, please fill-in the form below and either mail or email to Beltway Plaza Mall 6000 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770 Attn.: Community Director. Please allow up to 5 business days for a response. The Beltway Plaza Community Booth requests must be received minimally one month prior to the request date.


GATE – Greenbelt Access Television, Inc.

Greenbelt Access Television, Inc. (GATE) is the public cable access studio for the Greenbelt Community. Their mission is to provide the public with an opportunity to produce and cablecast their production on Comcast Channel 71. Members are trained in pre-production, camera operation, and digital editing. Members assist each other in making their visions and messages into viewable video productions. Website:

GAVA – Greenbelt Association for the Visual Arts

The GAVA/GATE Animation Program will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2008! The program consists of year-round schedule of classes for children/teens 10-18 years old in animation at the GATE Studios in Greenbelt Community Center. The program is a cooperative effort by the Greenbelt Association for the Visual Arts (GAVA) and Greenbelt Access Television (GATE) and is has been taught from the beginning by George Kochell. Besides classes, the program works with interns from Eleanor Roosevelt High School, enters students' animation in national festivals, and screens their work at the Utopia Film Festival yearly. The program has been seen on MPTV, participated in Maryland Day activities at the University of Maryland, featured at the DC Environmental Film Festival, and was included in international animation festivals in Ottawa for two years.
